It is with overwhelming excitement, humility, and a touch of nostalgia that I share that I will serve as Secretary General for the groundbreaking 15th edition of VIBGYOR Model United Nations. In 2025, we stand at a pivotal crossroads—both for VIBGYOR MUN’s historic journey and global geopolitics. Today’s world is marked by wars, human rights movements, and communal strife, highlighting the devastating consequences of conflict and the ongoing fight for justice and equality for marginalized communities. Questions of identity, institutions, and justice are more pressing than ever.
As young people with a platform, we occupy a unique position. Unlike marginalized communities across the globe, we have the privilege of a voice—a space to think critically, research deeply, and speak passionately. This privilege demands that we root ourselves in conviction while stepping beyond our comfort zones. Isn’t that the magic of a Model UN? Here, we emulate leaders unlike ourselves, represent perspectives often at odds with our own, and engage in dialogue with diverse delegates. At VIBGYOR MUN, your experience is shaped as much by others as by yourself. Speak widely, embrace discomfort, and enjoy every moment.
Model UNs have always been a site of growth for me. This will be my fifth year on the VIBGYOR MUN dais. Over time, I’ve witnessed the conference evolve alongside my own journey. Moving past online Zoom meetings, we’ve successfully hosted three offline conferences and introduced flagship features like the MUN Colosseum and the EB Press Conference. This year, we’re thrilled to offer a fully residential experience. Across these years, I myself have learned about diplomacy, tackled challenging mandates, and met delegates country-wide. I’ve also grown under the guidance of some of the country’s best MUN-ners, many of whom will serve on our Executive Board this year. Our EB members bring expertise from fields like media, sustainability, and civil engagement. I urge you to make the most of this experience by engaging with them.
This year, I encourage delegates and the EB to align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 13: Climate Action. I’ve seen tangible ways in which the SDGs can be incorporated into political action through student-activism at my college. The SDGs are exciting and important tools to think about the world. With five specific targets, SDG 13 offers a lens to critically connect climate change solutions to diverse political agendas. Explore ways to merge your committee’s discussions with this vital goal.
For first-timers, my advice is simple: embrace your nerves. Let them fuel your excitement. VIBGYOR MUN is a starting point for growth. It took me over 20 conferences as a delegate and many more as an EB member and organizer to truly grasp MUN’s nuances. Returning delegates will agree with me: you must take risks—the rewards are worth it.
In a world where threats to free and critical thought loom, VIBGYOR MUN is a silver lining. On behalf of the Secretariat and the Organizing Committee, including the lovely Director General Nandika and Crisis Director Kahaan, I’m thrilled to host and guide you. We can’t wait to see each and every one of you this June!

My name is Kahaan Doshi, and I am thrilled to be serving as the Crisis Director for VIBGYOR MUN 15. It feels like a full-circle moment for me, as I’ve been a part of the VIBGYOR MUN family since 2017, when I first attended as a delegate during the 7th edition. Back then, I never imagined that I would one day become a part of the Secretariat, helping to shape this amazing conference. It has been a journey of growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences, and now, as the Crisis Director, I’m excited to channel all of that experience into making this edition truly memorable.
I’m currently in my 3rd year of engineering in Computer Science at VIT Vellore, and my journey with VIBGYOR MUN has taught me a lot about critical thinking, collaboration, and creative problem-solving—skills that I actively apply in my day-to-day life. Throughout my years in VIBGYOR MUN, I've witnessed the power of debate, diplomacy, and innovation in action, and I am eager to contribute to fostering that same environment of engagement and intellectual challenge in these crisis committees.
Being a part of this conference has always felt like more than just an event to me, it's a community, a space where people come together to think outside the box, push boundaries, and build lasting friendships. As Crisis Director, my goal is to make sure that every delegate feels engaged, challenged, and inspired to step outside of their comfort zone. I can’t wait to see what new ideas, strategies, and collaborations will emerge during VIBGYOR MUN 15, and I’m excited to help guide everyone through the thrill of the crisis experience.

I am a second-year undergraduate student at FLAME University, pursuing International Law and Cultural Studies. I have always been passionate about global affairs, and my extensive experience as an avid MUNner—particularly at VIBGYOR MUN—has greatly nurtured this interest. Combining my love for photography with my interest and experience in International Relations and the editorial world, it is an honor to return as the Head of International Press for the 15th edition of VIBGYOR MUN. The conference is an incredible platform for all of us attending and every year it is a privilege to be among such esteemed speakers and curious individuals. The International Press Corps is a committee unlike any other. For the four days of the conference, delegates of the Press Corps will serve as attentive listeners and messengers, capturing every noteworthy moment of VIBGYOR MUN. I am a student at DPS Navi Mumbai, currently in grade 12, pursuing the humanities stream. As a passionate MUN enthusiast, I have always been captivated by international relations and global affairs. My experiences as a delegate in previous editions of VIBGYOR MUN have profoundly enriched these interests. Alongside this, photography has been a long-standing passion of mine, complemented by my interest in world affairs and journalistic endeavours.
It is with immense excitement and honour that I address you today as the Press Co-Head for the 15th edition of VIBGYOR MUN.
This conference serves as a remarkable platform, and I am deeply honoured to be part of it, especially with esteemed speakers from across the nation.
